Dr. Rebecca Brown - Chiropractor

Dr. Brown's practice specializes in total body health and well-being, starting with the proper function of all joints in the body, especially the dozens of joints in the spinal column. Malfunctions in these joints can alter nervous system signals, distorting vital communication between the brain and the rest of the body. Dr. Brown says, "Seeing the magical transformations in people's health when these interferences are removed keeps me inspired and uplifted every day."

Dr. Brown consistently helps people with cases that others believed were hopeless. She is widely regarded for her ability to diagnose and treat the root cause of a problem, rather than just masking its symptoms.

Following an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Wesleyan University, Dr. Brown graduated Magna Cum Laude from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1990, and has been practicing in Yarmouth ever since. Her passions outside the office include playing classical piano and exploring Maine's spectacular coastline and landscapes by bicycling, kayaking, hiking, running, snowshoeing, or skiing. She lives with her husband in Freeport.

“Thanks for visiting our site. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Give our Yarmouth office a call, or email me using the link below and let’s arrange a time to explore your options.”

Dr. Steve Siu - Chiropractor

Dr. Steve offers chiropractic adjustments along with longer muscle treatments to patients of Brown Chiropractic. He uses a wide range of adjusting techniques to provide the best possible care based on each patient’s unique situation. He is particularly interested in prenatal and pediatric care and is certified in the Webster Technique for turning breech babies.

A graduate of Penn State University, Dr. Siu obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the fountainhead of chiropractic, Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.  During his final year, he served on the Davenport community Sports Council and traveled to Bolivia with Clinic Abroad to adjust local people with little access to health care.

Dr. Steve loves to experience new landscapes, foods, and cultures and has traveled widely in North America as well as in the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Spain. In his spare time, he also enjoys science fiction, computers, fishing, camping, and martial arts. He moved to Maine and joined Brown Chiropractic in 2009 and lives in Gray with his wife and children.

Dr. Andrew Wawra - Chiropractor

In addition to a well-rounded family practice, Dr. Wawra has additional expertise from post-graduate study in functional neurology, kinesiology, and rehabilitation.

Dr. Wawra works with patients of all ages to retrain poor strength, balance, and movement patterns. These patterns are often to blame for our chronic pain, re-injury, and poor performance in both sports and work. Common injuries treated include shoulder, low back, knee, and neck.

After performing a thorough examination, Dr. Wawra puts together a structured plan to re-train, re-balance, and re-strengthen. Many patients have found that after working with Dr. Wawra, they can break through their plateaus and take their performance to the next level. For runners, this training often results in taking a minute or two off their mile times. For workers, the investment allows them to perform more work in less time with little or no pain.

Dr. Wawra is a native of Minnesota and graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, with an engineering degree in 1999. He received his doctorate in chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2008. In his spare time, Dr. Wawra likes to do activities with his family including horseback riding, running, lifting weights, and kite-boarding.

Dr. Andrew deBethune - Chiropractor

An athlete himself, Dr. Andrew deBethune specializes in the assessment and treatment of athletic injuries and performance enhancement.  After completing his undergraduate degree in sports medicine, he went on to complete his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Logan University.  Dr. deBethune's unique approach integrates the best of traditional chiropractic and myofascial work with functional movement, screening and correction.  He focuses on addressing the complete kinetic chain from spine to extremities, optimizing its ability to perform and recover naturally.

Dr deBethune believes what makes you more athletic, makes you less prone to injury and pain.  He engages his patients with care plans that are both active and goal oriented based on the individual's needs.  This can be anything from navigating stairs pain free, picking up grandchildren, to reaching personal bests on the field as well as in the gym.  Dr. deBethune excels in evaluating and treating tendonopathies, myofascial pain, joint and spine pain, repetitive overuse injuries and impingement syndromes.  As an overhead athlete himself, he specializes in the evaluation and treatment of shoulder pain and pathology.

Dr. deBethune grew up on a small organic farm in Central Maine.  He attended MCI in Pittsfield, Maine, where he pursued his passion for baseball and met his future wife, Audra.  It was then that he sustained injuries to his shoulder.  Through the rehabilitation process, he found a mentor in the healing arts that would inspire him to do the same for others.  He went on to play baseball at the University of Southern Maine and continues to stay active with lifting, running and intramural sports.

Dr. deBethune currently lives in South Portland with his wife Audra and their Australian Shepherd, Coral.  Together, they love exploring the beaches, rivers and hikes of Maine.

Dr. Brady Fergola - Chiropractor

Dr. Brady Fergola is a native of Rumford, ME.  His first degree was a Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Maine at Orono.  He earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic at Logan University in Missouri.  While at Logan, he complemented his chiropractic studies with postgraduate courses on performance care and rehabilitation.  Through these studies, he became passionate about maximizing performance while minimizing injury, for the best long-term quality of life.

Given an active lifestyle and participation in a wide variety of sports, from school team baseball, basketball, football and rugby, to golf and skiing, Dr. Brady knows first-hand the demands that activities place on the unsuspecting body.  He understands how developing proper movement technique is a key component in staying active and pain-free.

Dr. Brady's advanced training in the biomechanics of human movement has given him the expertise to observe patients from a global standpoint.  After detailed movement analysis, a unique treatment plan is designed to teach individuals how to move their body in healthier ways that will enable them to participate in the activities they love for a lifetime.

Dr. Brady and his wife, Lindsey, live in Boothbay with their golden retriever, Izzy. Together, they enjoy exploring the great outdoors and adventuring to new places.
